The class 2 smart card reader CHIPDRIVE® pinpad pro is especially designed for home banking, e-Commerce or digital signature applications. It is specifically designed to protect your PIN code from theft or unauthorized sources while connected to the network.
The PIN code is directly entered into the integrated keypad and sent to the smart card - without being transmitted to a PC.
The smart card reader is based on SCM's STC II micro controller chip with on-board flash. The on-board flash-memory enables seamless firmware upgrades in the field to adapt the reader to current requirements and prevent obsolescence.

It won the iF Design-Award 2003 from the Industrieforum Hanover for its user-friendliness and design.
